Respect: Treat all individuals with dignity, fairness, and respect, regardless of their background, beliefs, or position.
Transparency: Conduct business transparently, providing accurate and truthful information to stakeholders and avoiding deceptive or misleading practices.
Compliance: Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance in all business operations.
Confidentiality: Safeguard confidential and proprietary information of TTP, clients, contractors, and stakeholders, and respect the privacy rights of individuals.
Responsibilities
Management
Senior management and leaders are responsible for setting a positive example of ethical conduct, fostering a culture of integrity, and providing guidance and support to employees.
Employees and management
All employees are expected to familiarise themselves with this Ethical Conduct Policy, comply with its principles and guidelines, and report any unethical behaviour or violations observed.
Conflict of Interest: Avoid conflicts of interest that may compromise objectivity or impartiality in decision-making. Disclose any potential conflicts of interest to management or the appropriate authority.
Anti-Corruption: Prohibit bribery, corruption, kickbacks, and other unethical practices, whether involving public officials, private individuals, or business partners.
Fair Competition: Engage in fair and ethical competition, respecting the rights of competitors and refraining from unfair trade practices, price-fixing, or market manipulation.
Gifts and Entertainment: Exercise discretion and moderation when giving or receiving gifts, hospitality, or entertainment, ensuring they do not influence business decisions or create obligations.
Data Privacy: Respect and protect the privacy of personal and sensitive information, comply with data protection laws, and obtain consent for collecting and processing personal data.
Environmental Responsibility: Promote sustainable practices, minimize environmental impact, and comply with environmental laws and regulations.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations: All employees, contractors and representatives must comply with applicable laws and regulations in the countries where we operate. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse, and employees and representatives are encouraged to seek guidance when unsure about legal requirements.
Reporting violations
Employees, representatives, contractors, and stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspected violations of this Ethical Conduct Policy or unethical behaviour to info@thetalkingpoint.co.za.
Reports may be made anonymously, and retaliation against individuals who report violations in good faith is strictly prohibited.
Consequences of non-compliance
Violations of this Ethical Conduct Policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contractual relationship. Additionally, legal consequences may apply if violations involve criminal conduct or breach of laws.
Review and approval
This Ethical Conduct Policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness, relevance, and alignment with evolving ethical standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
