The Talking Point Group (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) as amended from time to time.

This privacy statement applies to the personal information collected, processed, and stored by the Company in the course of its business activities. This includes but is not limited to being a Juristic Representative of a Financial Services Provider (FSP) and offering value-added services and products.

  • We collect personal information directly from individuals or through authorised third parties, such as customers, employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Personal information may include but is not limited to names, contact details, identification numbers, financial information, addresses and other relevant data necessary for our business activities.
  • Any other information necessary for the provision of value-added services and products.

The Company processes personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provision of financial services as a Juristic Representative of an FSP.
  • Delivery of value-added services and products.
  • Processing of information for lawful and legitimate purposes related to our business operations, includes but not limited to:
    • Providing products or services requested by clients.
    • Managing client relationships, inquiries, and support.
    • Processing payments, invoices, and financial transactions.
    • Complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Conducting marketing and promotional activities with consent.
    • Managing employee records, payroll, and HR processes.
    • Facilitating supplier relationships and procurement activities.

Legal basis for processing

We process personal information based on lawful grounds as stipulated in POPIA, including the necessity for the performance of contracts, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests pursued by the Company or with the consent of the data subject where required.

  • The Company employs reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
  • Access to personal information is restricted to authorised personnel who require such access for legitimate business purposes.

  • The Company retains personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected unless retention is required by law or contractual obligations.
  • Personal information no longer needed is securely disposed of or anonymised to prevent unauthorised access or use.
