A school called us in the middle of a devastating week. We moved our practice on-site for three months, one counsellor with the learners at first break, another walking the corridors between classes, another in the staff room with teachers who were holding it together in public and falling apart in private. The point wasn't to fix anything quickly. It was to be there, every day, until the school could breathe on its own again.
